By Sam Keen,
The media’s recent campaign to salvage the image of UnitedHealth Group CEO Brian Thompson is a slap in the face to countless Americans who have suffered and died due to the company’s ruthless profit-over-people policies. Despite the legacy media’s efforts to present Thompson as a misunderstood corporate leader, the truth remains: he has blood on his hands.
UnitedHealth Group, under Thompson’s leadership, has systematically denied claims to patients in desperate need of care, prioritizing its bottom line over the lives of its customers. Families have been shattered, lives cut short, and dreams destroyed—all because a faceless corporation decided that fulfilling its obligations was too costly.
This isn’t hyperbole; it’s a grim reality. Denying a life-saving medical claim is no different than taking a life with one’s own hands. Those who make such decisions are complicit in the deaths that follow. While Thompson might not have been in the hospital room pulling the plug, his company’s policies ensured the equipment wasn’t turned on in the first place.
Yet here we are, watching the legacy media paint Thompson as a victim of public outrage. They’re urging sympathy for a man who has profited immensely while his victims’ families mourn. Why? Because he wears a suit? Because he has a corner office? The uniform of a corporate executive should not shield anyone from accountability.
To be clear, we do not condone murder or vigilante justice. But we refuse to join the media in erasing Thompson’s role in these tragedies. This is not about sensationalism or scapegoating; it’s about acknowledging the direct connection between corporate greed and human suffering.
In a just society, Thompson and those like him would face severe consequences—not just public condemnation but legal accountability. If a doctor refusing to treat a patient can face malpractice charges, why should a CEO who systematically denies care escape unscathed?
America cannot and must not allow itself to be lulled into sympathy for those who weaponize power against the vulnerable. Thompson’s legacy is one of death and destruction, and no amount of media spin can change that.
To the families of those who have suffered under UnitedHealth’s policies, we see you, and we stand with you. And to those in positions of power who continue to excuse or justify this behavior: history will remember. Let it be known that we will not allow the narrative to be rewritten in favor of the perpetrator over the victims.
No mercy for those who treat lives as expendable in the name of profit.
