Indy Disgraced Lawyer Abdul Hakim Shabazz Defames Former GOP Candidate with False Arrest Claim

In a disturbing turn of events, Abdul Hakim Shabazz, a lawyer notorious for his defeat in last year's Indianapolis mayoral GOP race, has been defaming former GOP Congressional candidate Gabe Whitley. Shabazz alleged that an arrest warrant had been issued for Whitley, a claim that Whitley has vehemently denied and which was fact checked by the court records.

Mr. Shabazz the disgraced lawyer later deleted the post off of his facebook.

Whitley, who ran for Congress in Indiana’s 7th District, responded to these accusations with a statement posted on his Facebook page and X account (formerly Twitter). His statement from "The Office of Honest Gabe" reads as follows:

Statement from The Office of Honest Gabe, Former GOP Candidate for Congress in Indiana’s 7th District
Today, a false and malicious rumor was spread by a news tabloid, claiming that an arrest warrant had been issued for me. I want to unequivocally state that this is a complete lie. At the time this baseless accusation surfaced, I was en route to the emergency room for medical reasons.
My close friends and family, who were with me, can confirm this. Additionally, law enforcement authorities have verified that no arrest warrant exists. If there ever were such a warrant, it would be handled by U.S. Marshals, not the sources cited by this tabloid.
I am currently recovering well in the hospital and remain committed to fighting for liberty and the values we hold dear. I appreciate the support and prayers from my community and will continue to stand strong against these unfounded attacks.
Thank you for your continued support.

This incident is not the first time Shabazz has targeted Whitley. Over the past two years, Shabazz has been involved in a series of legal battles against Whitley, resorting to lawfare tactics. Despite losing a defamation lawsuit against Whitley, Shabazz has continued his relentless pursuit, involving his associates and leveraging his legal connections.

Recently, Shabazz's ally, U.S. Federal Prosecutor Zackary Myers, accused Whitley of money laundering and violating Federal Election Commission (FEC) regulations. These accusations led to an FBI raid on Whitley's home, following a fraudulent FEC complaint filed by a friend of Shabazz.

Whitley's supporters argue that these actions are part of a coordinated effort to undermine his reputation and political career. Whitley has expressed gratitude for the support from his community and remains determined to fight these baseless allegations.

As Whitley recovers from his recent medical emergency, he continues to stand firm in his commitment to uphold conservative values and serve his constituents with integrity. The smear campaign led by Shabazz serves as a reminder of the importance of truth and accountability in political discourse.

In conclusion, the actions of Abdul Hakim Shabazz highlight the lengths to which some will go to silence their opponents. Gabe Whitley's resilience in the face of these attacks exemplifies his dedication to fighting for justice and maintaining the trust of his supporters. As this story unfolds, it is crucial for the public to discern fact from fiction and support leaders who truly represent their values.
