Hoosier Enquirer Names Former Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill as ‘Man of the Year’

Indianapolis, Indiana – The Hoosier Enquirer is proud to announce Curtis Hill, former Indiana Attorney General and a distinguished legal and political leader, as its 2024 Man of the Year. Hill’s enduring contributions to the advancement of freedom, public service, and justice in Indiana and beyond exemplify the core values celebrated by the Hoosier Enquirer.

Curtis Hill served as the 43rd Attorney General of the State of Indiana and previously held the position of Elkhart County Prosecutor for two decades. Known for his unwavering commitment to defending life, liberty, and Hoosiers’ happiness, Hill has been a steadfast advocate for the principles of justice, freedom, and public service throughout his career.

Elected in 2016 with more than 1.64 million votes—the highest of any Indiana candidate at the time—Hill made history as Attorney General, leading a 400-person team dedicated to protecting Hoosiers’ rights and freedoms.

As a Senior Fellow for the Center for Urban Renewal and Education (CURE) in Washington, D.C., Hill continues to champion liberty and opportunity in underserved communities. He is also an advisor to multiple organizations, furthering his mission to advance freedom across America.

Beyond his professional achievements, Hill has shown resilience in overcoming challenges. Recently, he successfully defended himself in a highly publicized legal battle against false allegations, proving his steadfast integrity and resolve against political adversaries.

Born and raised in Elkhart, Indiana, Hill credits his parents, Curtis Sr. and Eleanor, as inspirations for his dedication to public service and leadership. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Indiana University, Bloomington, and earned his law degree from IU as well. While pursuing his legal education, Hill met his wife Teresa, and together, they have raised five children: Halle, Mallory, Curtis III, Isabella, and Abraham.

“We are honored to name Curtis Hill as Hoosier Enquirer’s Man of the Year,” said a spokesperson for the publication. “His career and character represent the values we uphold: justice, perseverance, and a deep commitment to the great people of Indiana.”

Hill’s legacy as a public servant, combined with his ongoing efforts to empower communities and defend freedom, cements his place as a leader who continues to make a significant impact in Indiana and across the nation. The Board voted unanimously to vote for Curtis Hill as Man of the Year.
