Hammer and Nigel Face Firestorm of Criticism After Flip-Flopping on Elise Hensley Interview

Flip Flop Hammer and Nigel cave in

Hammer and Nigel, the loudmouth duo of WIBC, have stepped in it big time, and the stink’s not washing off. What started as a hyped-up interview with Elise Hensley has turned into a full-blown shitshow, with the hosts facing a barrage of backlash for their gutless handling of the whole mess. They’ve gone from blocking Hoosier Enquirer on X to airing the damn thing anyway, and people are pissed.

Here’s how it went down: Hoosier Enquirer’s Kelly Roberts called WIBC to check if the Hensley interview was still a go. No answer. We hit up Hammer and Nigel on X for confirmation—boom, blocked. Then a staff member at the station spilled the beans to us: they’d canceled the interview after finding out Hensley was the one who kicked off a nasty scene at Chatterbox Jazz Bar, calling employees “faggots” and making a total ass of herself. Word is, Hammer and Nigel got cold feet and pulled the plug right after posting about it.

But then—plot twist—they flipped like a couple of cheap pancakes. Despite their own staff saying it was axed, the interview aired today at 5:06 p.m., smooth as you please. No mention of the cancellation, no hint of the slur-slinging mess Hensley started—just pure, unfiltered cowardice. And the community’s not having it.

Hammer and Nigel’s move to block Hoosier Enquirer only makes them look worse. “What’s the deal, boys? Can’t handle a straight question?” Kelly Roberts shot back. “They wanted her when she was hot news, ditched her when the truth hit, then slunk back when they thought they could milk it. Pathetic.” Listeners who caught the 5:06 p.m. airing got nothing but fluff—Hensley got a free pass, and the Chatterbox mess didn’t even get a whisper.

The staff at WIBC confirmed to us they’d scrapped it, so why the hell did it air? Simple: Hammer and Nigel don’t stand for jack. They’re not about truth or grit—they’re about whatever keeps the dial spinning. “It’s a disgrace,” said Sarah Jennings, who tuned in. “She’s a loudmouth bigot, and they handed her the mic anyway.”

The blowback’s just getting started, but Hammer and Nigel’s stunt with Hensley has them looking like a pair of gutless hacks. Blocking us, dodging the dirt, and airing the interview after their own people said it was dead—it’s a clown show, and they’re the ringleaders. Hoosier Enquirer’s not letting this slide, even if WIBC’s golden boys wish we’d shut up. Tough luck. The only thing loud and clear here is their hypocrisy, and it’s ringing across Indy like a bad hangover.
